সৈয়দ জহির সাদেক

SYED ZAHIR SADEQUE
Born in 1953, Rangpur, Bangladesh. He completed BA (Honours) and MA in Sociology from University of Dhaka, and Ph.D. in Development Sociology from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA. He has taught at University of Dhaka (IBA), Department of Sociology, Rajshahi University and he has also worked at CIDA, USAID and The World Bank in Dhaka; ICIMOD in Nepal; ILO, UNDP and UNICEF in various countries and UN Secretariat in New York. He has widely published in Bangladesh and abroad including journal articles, book in chapters, edited books and co-authored a book Environment and Development in the Himalayas. He lives with his family in Toronto, Canada.
